1. THE WELSH REVIVAL OF 1904-05 - Oliver W. Price
During the spring of 1904 a young Welshman named Evan Roberts was repeatedly awakened at 1:00 a.m. He met with God until 5:00 a.m. The Welsh revival followed. Churches were packed for prayer meetings. In a prayer meeting for young people, Pastor Joseph Jenkins asked for testimonies. A young girl named Florrie Evans, who had only been a believer a few days, rose and with a trembling voice said simply, "I love Jesus with all my heart." The other young people's hearts were melted. A powerful spiritual awakening that brought 100,000 people to Christ was under way.
On November 7th, 1904 Moraih Chapel was filled to capacity for a prayer meeting
that lasted until 3:00 a.m. Soul winning spread through the coalmines. Profane
swearing stopped. Even the miners' horses were puzzled when their masters
stopped cursing. Orders to the Bible Society "for Scriptures from Wales during
November and December, were over three times the amount for the corresponding
months of 1903..." The Times said this resulted from the Welsh revival, adding
that this demand showed no sign of falling off.
"The mighty and unseen breath of the Spirit was doing in a month more than centuries of legislation could accomplish," the pastor of Saint John's-Wood Presbyterian Church declared on Sunday, January 1st, 1905 according to the London Times.The Welsh revival "had a great effect" in healing spiritual carelessness among Christians and "the growing bitterness which has accentuated our unhappy divisions", the Bishop of Bangor declared on January 2nd, 1905. He called "congregations to meet together often for united prayer."
The Times added that "the religious revival in Wales continues...with unabated zeal." Huge crowds were attending the meetings. Bible verses covered the doors down in the coalmines. "At Swansea the Poor Law guardians...dealt with revival cases in which people...have taken their parents from the workhouse. The Welsh revival movement has shown no sign of flagging...", The Times pointed out on January 10th. Entire congregations were on their knees in fervent prayer and "for the first time there was not a single case of drunkenness at the Swansea Petty Sessions."
On January 11th The Times noted that David Lloyd-George, who later became the British Prime Minister, said the Welsh revival gave hope "that at the next election Wales would declare with no uncertain sound against the corruption in high places which handed over the destiny of the people to the horrible brewing interest..." Lloyd-George even saw one of his political rallies taken over by the Welsh revival. He was impressed as a young girl prayed in the presence of 2,000 people. He said in one town the tavern sold only 9 cents worth of liquor drinks on Saturday night!
The Times observed that "the whole population had been suddenly stirred by a common impulse. Religion had become the absorbing interest of their lives. They had
gathered at crowded services for six and eight hours at a time. Political meetings and even football matches were postponed...quarrels between trade-union workmen and non-unionists had been made up... At Glyn-Neath a feud had existed for the past 10 or 12 years between the two Independent chapels, but during the past week united services have been held in both chapels, and the ministers have shaken hands before the congregations."
The Salvation Army set apart January 19th, 1905 for a day of confession, humiliation, and prayer throughout England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. All day prayer meetings were held in many of the principal cities of the British Isles, according to the London Times. The meeting was marked by "fervent prayer and any one who felt called upon to pray." Fires of spiritual revival and moral recovery were spreading.
Coal miners crowed into prayer meetings that lasted till 3:00 a.m. and then washed, ate breakfast and returned to work. Many drunkards confessed their sins and received Christ. According to the London Times of February 2nd, 1905 due to the Welsh revival many men abandoned dens of iniquity. Employers noticed a great improvement in the work produced by their employees. A judge named Sir Marchant Williams said that his work was much lighter especially regarding drunkenness and related offenses.
The revival fires burning in Wales in 1904-05 spread through England, Ireland and Scotland. Prayer meetings multiplied. As many as 2,000 attended a prayer meeting in the city of Bradford. In the City of Leeds, Samuel Chadwick reported that his church was never empty all day. An amazing work of grace transformed life in a factory.
In 1905 a week of united prayer meetings in an English town called Nuneaton led to a "glorious revival". The Prince's Theatre was packed each Sunday night after church with 1500 praying believers and many unsaved seekers. In Bulwell, many of the most degraded drunkards were converted. In the Bedfordshire villages, whole nights devoted to prayer prepared for powerful evangelism.
Joseph Kemp, pastor of Charlotte Chapel in Edinburgh, visited God's mighty work of revival in Wales in 1904. Back in his home church on New Year's Eve, 1905, an unusually fervent prayer meeting led to conviction of sin. A powerful revival that continued for over two years was under way. A strong work of evangelism began. 1,000 inquirers received counseling.
The Irish Presbyterians issued a Call to Prayer. Noonday and evening prayer meetings multiplied. The Irish Methodists and other denominations experienced an unusual spirit of grace and supplications. In Lurgan, revival meetings packed both the First Presbyterian and the Methodist churches. The taverns were emptied while
people who had not attended church before come in record numbers and received
Christ.
Revival fires spread through Bangor University resulting in "only a third or fourth of the students attending some of the classes... Beginning with a spontaneous outburst of praise and prayer among the men students, the movement spread...at a united prayer meeting...some...broke down sobbing."
In 1905 when Fred C. Gibson became pastor of 1st Presbyterian Church in Tobormore, County Londonderry, Ireland the little town was morally and spiritually dead. So he signed a covenant with God to seek revival by his preaching and his prayers. In spite of strong resistance, God moved in special meetings that changed the Christians and resulted in remarkable conversions of hardened sinners.
God can do it again.

This is BEYOND amazing. It took only one man to pray and a revival took place, THROUGHOUT the nation and beyond, and IT LASTED FOR TWO YEARS. He was willing to put his hands to the plow and start the hard work (definitely hard work) of praying for his nation and REVIVAL took place. He was passionate to see that his nation come and experience God's amazing love and grace, and it did happen! He never gave up.

What about us people? If he alone can pray for this movement to come to pass, what about us? Praying for our school seems chicken-feet compared to this. Let's start praying that our school will be taken by storm, that all will experience the grace of God in the deepest depths of their hearts :)

Hello! Amadea here :) LOL i know it's been 1 billion years since i've posted. Million thanks to chuyi who keeps the blog updated!

Anyway, here comes semester 2! Let us remember the reason for our existance. Why are we meeting ever week to pray? Why are we still existing after 18 months? Why is our name IMPACT? For me, it all comes down to loving God and wanting to let His will be done in my school. I love PHS and I love my schoolmates. I know there are lost souls who desprately need God in their lives.

And for all your sons and daughters

People, this is real. I can hear the storm of revival brewing. I can see God waiting to move. I believe that God is going to use us to sweep across the school like a tornado, taking people with us, and bringing them to God.

We must envision it. I never stop waiting for the day that I can walk into my school and see people doing their devotions. I never stop praying that lives will be touched, that chains will be broken, that miracles will happen in our school.

My friends, B E L I E V E . Some think its impossible. We have about 15 people in the prayer group and we have more than 800 students in the school. But remember that one man in prayer is stronger than a whole nation not in prayer. We have the almighty Creator on our side, who can come against us? We can make a difference. The Welsh revival started out with ONE man being desprate and hungry to see His nation healed. What more can the 15 of us do for our school? Let's fight this battle!

During the holidays, I've been going through a lot with God. I believe God will be my strength. He is my pillar and I am nothing without Him. I constantly remind myself about His blood that was shed. "If God can lay down his life for me, why can't I give my life to Him?" I always say to myself.

I'm laying down my life for Jesus, I'm picking up my cross. I choose to stand for my generation. What about you?

Hey impacters!

Sorry for the long hiatus :P Hope all of you are having a good holiday!

Y'know, recently, I was just thinking about how I want to spend this holiday. I never planned how I wanted to spend my holidays, because I always have so much on/going overseas, plus I always was so flexible with whatever I wanted to do, I didn't bother. But before the holidays, I really thought about how I wanted to spend the holidays. I wanted to finish my homework (urghhh) ASAP, preferably by the 2nd week of the holidays, and PLAY ALL THE WAY :D Okay, so it isn't coming along as well as I thought, because of the huge amount of homework to do, and the lack of motivation to hurry finish them all, but yeah.

I kinda thought of what William said, that we should take this holiday to do something for God. It doesn't have to be like, running around screaming I LOVE JESUS, but it can be something like, spending more time with God. For me, it's becoming closer with God, being more personal with Him. Nowadays, my devotions are not just 'politically correct answers', but more of my feelings, and how I can apply the verse to my life/situation. And I think I want to spend even more time with God, beyond just during devotion time. Once, in the morning, I just sat on my bed and started worshipping God (not for long though; I didn't want to wake my sister up :S). But you get the point.

Do something for God this holiday. Go out of your comfort zone. Forget Hannah Montana and natm2. Wait upon God in the silence and hear what He wants you to do, and do it. It takes courage to follow God's will, but it's ever so satisfying after that :)

I also want to encourage all of you to continue praying for the school, for our nation. I know it seems like all we do is pray, but we don't really see any results. THAT IS WHAT THE DEVIL WANTS YOU TO THINK. But our God not just works on stage; He works backstage as well. He's definitely doing something, just that we cannot see.

see! GOD WILL BE DOING SOMETHING AMAZING. I got totally excited when I saw this verse. I was like, oh YES, God is gunnah do something, uh-huh~ I have to be honest- my relationship with God hasn't been extremely good recently, and I never thought I would get so excited, BUT I AM. And I believe it's the Holy Spirit touching me, reminding of all the promises that God has made, that He would never leave us, nor forsake us, AND HE WILL DO GREAT AND WONDROUS THINGS. (i don't know if I spelt wondrous correctly, but that's not the point)

KEEP BELIEVING IN GOD'S PROMISES! let faith arise! Press on in this race; we are all VICTORS in Christ Jesus, Amen?

The Knowing – A Christian Film Analysis

The movie, The Knowing, starring Nicholas Cage was released in theaters on March 20, 2009. The title of the movie features the word “Knowing” with the “O” represented as a stylized solar eclipse. The logo for the production company is a stylized “all-seeing eye”.

It doesn’t take a huge stretch of the imagination for those who watch that this movie has potential for the revealing of little gems, hidden in plain sight, as “they” say.The characters in the movie all have names that are fraught with meaning. The main character, John, is figuring out what the puzzle of the numbered sheet of paper found by his son means. He discovers that it foretells the end of all life on planet Earth. Right off the bat, this reminds a person of the prophetic and apocalyptic writing of John’s namesake, the disciple and apostle of Jesus Christ, the John of the New Testament and author of the book of Revelation, and the one whom “Christ loved”.Another important character, Lucinda, is a seer/prophetess, who hears whispers in her head and originally wrote the numbers down in her 1959 classroom as a child as part of a time capsule class project that was her idea.

Interestingly, there is a clue, right in her name, of the source behind her prophecies. Lucinda is not too far from the name Lucifer which means “Light Bringer”, who is the fallen cherub, who is today known as Satan or “The Adversary”. Remember that Lucinda’s and Lucifer’s names have a meaning involving light as that will be important later when we encounter light ships.Diana is Lucinda’s daughter. She plays a role in the 2009 setting of the movie, along with her own daughter, who can hear the “whisper people” telepathically. Diana is also the name of the Roman goddess of the hunt, and later the moon as well.

Ironically, her name is revealed while the characters are at a natural history/zoology museum as she is standing in the midst of stuffed wild animals within display cases.Diana’s daughter’s name is Abby, which may be short for Abigail which in Hebrew means “father of exaltation”. John’s son’s name is “Caleb”, which is also a Hebrew name, and carries the meaning “whole heart” or “faithful”.John’s parents and sister are Christians. His father is a pastor, but they are estranged from one another. John, who has given up on faith, is a teaching astrophysicist who questions both evolution and whether or not life actually has meaning or if everyone and everything is an accident, therefore rendering life meaningless.

This is a curious twist because typically films and mainstream media in general tend to shove evolutionary theory down everyone’s throat as fact every chance they get (and they take them all). Therefore, this has to be a big clue that one of the agendas of this movie is to cause a paradigm shift in the viewer’s thinking in regards to origins.In moving on to the numbers, they are written down by young Lucinda in 1959 through a process called automatic writing. She writes the numbers as part of a time capsule assignment in which her class is supposed to draw a picture of what they think the future will be like in fifty years. She goes into a glazed-over trance, and begins to scribble down a long series of numbers covering both sides of the page. Anyone who has studied the occult knows that many people claim to have channeled aliens or spirit guides by letting them control their bodies.

Entire books, which are essentially “doctrines of demons”, have been channeled, written, and published; a seemingly countless number in the last 100 years alone. This particular string of numbers not only foretells the future, but does it in a very telling way indeed.The series of numbers consists of the dates of deadly disasters, the number of people killed in each disaster, as well as the latitude and longitude of each disaster. This would look like a neat plot twist, if I didn’t know that there are certain groups of people, who generally speaking operate under various luciferian authorities, which are obsessed with sacred geometry in relation to locations on the earth. (Just watch Chris Pinto’s documemtary Riddles in Stone: The Secret Architecture of Washington D.C.) Since all things luciferian are cheap knock-offs of God’s creation and order of things, it’s easy to see how alarming this big-screen revelation is to a person who has read the works of folks like David Flynn, who’s research follows up on Isaac Newton’s theories which show compelling evidence revealing God’s plan between space, time, and measurement on the earth.His book is called Temple at the Center of Time.

My point is that this points to art imitating reality. The big event that the numbers predict (spoiler alert) is that everyone else on earth is going to die a tragic event. This time the latitude and longitude given reveals the safe place to be. Just what is it that ends the earth? Nothing less than a huge solar flare the blows the ozone layer off the earth burning everything in its path in a wave of fire and earth. Now, this author has no doubt that a solar flare blowing off the ozone layer completely could potentially kill all life on this planet, but I think the mile high wave of fire and rock is for visual kicks. Anyway, the message here is that channeled/ telepathically received information should be trusted, nevermind the fact that the source is the minions of a being known as “the Father of Lies”.The children in the movie hear whispers inside their heads.

They say that the whispers come from the “whisper people”. The whisper people tell them that they are chosen, want to help them, and will take them to safety due to the impending end of the world. These whisper people not only talk to the children telepathically, but actually show up in person in the form of night-stalking, pale-faced, light-haired men dressed completely in black. Just like in the movie made famous by Will Smith, these MIB’s carry around handheld devices, but this time they don’t erase memories. Instead they use their device to give visions of a fiery end coming on the world. What’s interesting about this is that there are thousands of people, likely more, who have reportedly been given similar visions by “alien visitors” using some sort of a device that show massive environmentally catastrophic events. Google that.This movie attempts to answer questions people don’t even know they have yet.

It aims to condition people to accept an explanation regarding origins and aliens that is contrary to foundational truth as revealed in the pages of a book that has a single thread running through it over the course of two thousand years, sixty-six books, and forty plus authors. As C.S. Lewis put it in his great treatise on education, The Abolition of Man, “It is not a theory they put into his mind, but an assumption, which ten years hence, its origin forgotten and its presence unconscious, will condition him to take one side in a controversy which he has never recognized as a controversy at all.” Wise man!

Nearing the end of the movie the viewers discover that the Men in Black, previously known as the “whisper people” are, yep, aliens. Most likely Pleiadians since there is a subtle reference to the Pleiades earlier in the movie. Now even if these particular “space brothers” who are “here to help” are not Pleiadian, that doesn’t matter because anyone who is involved in New Age alien space brother adoration totally knows that Pleiadians are tall with blond hair.

They are the equivalent of the “supermodels” of the universe, especially compared with zeta reticulii and reptilians, which I’ll leave to others to discuss. Just ask Billy Meier and look up all the ancient folklore from civilizations across the planet in regards to this star cluster. One legend ties the Pleiades to a Savior. “On a street in the Holy Land, the Savior smelled the delicious aroma of freshly-baked bread. Entering the shop, the Savior was instantly recognized by the baker who presented Him with a tasty treat and a chance to rest from His labors.

In gratitude, the Savior placed the baker, his wife and seven daughters in the Heavens to be safe with Him forever.” Oh boy.For the record, this author believes that the true identity of “aliens” is actually fallen angels who are very real entities that currently have power to deceive the people of the world and are not hanging out in the deep recesses of hell (yet). I feel that Genesis 6, Number 13, and the book of Enoch, valuable for its historicity and from which Jude quoted from in the Bible backs up this belief. There is also extensive work done by researchers such as L.A. Marzulli, Tom Horn, Dr. Stephin Yulish, Dr. Davin Flynn, Guy Malone, Dr. Michael Heiser, and Joe Jordan, all Christian researchers with proven and lengthy track records of credibility.

Nearing the end of the film, the children are abducted and driven to a clearing covered with small black stones in the middle of the woods. The black stone, in my opinion, represents the antithesis of the white stone believers will receive from Christ with a new and private name for them written on them. John follows them, and is confronted with the fact that the children are chosen to be saved from earth’s destruction and he must remain behind. Now this lays out a “plausible explanation” outside of the truth to those remaining after the harpazo, or catching up, of Christian believers and theoretically all children under the age of accountability to meet Jesus Christ in the air prior to the unleashing of his divine judgment on the rejecting and rebellious people of Earth.

Earlier in the film, a line drawing of Ezekiel’s Wheels gives us a clue.
Here is the passage about Ezekiel’s wheels from the Bible:

I looked, and I saw a windstorm coming out of the north– and immense cloud
with flashing lighting and surrounded by brilliant light. The center of the fire
looked like glowing metal, and in the fire was what looked like four living
creatures. In appearance their form was that of a man, but each of them had four
faces and four wings. Their legs were straight; their feet were like those of a
calf and gleamed like burnished bronze. Under their wings on their four sides
they had the hands of a man. All four of them had faces and wings, and their
wings touched one another. Each one went straight ahead; they did not turn as
they moved. (1:4-9)

Their faces looked like this: Each of the four had the face of a man, and
on the right side each had the face of a lion, and on the left the face of an
ox; each also had the face of an eagle. Such were their faces. Their wings were
spread out upward; each had two wings, one touching the wing of another creature
on either side, and two wings covering its body. Each one went straight ahead.
Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, without turning as they went. The
appearance of the living creatures was like burning coals of fire or like
torches; it was bright, and lightning flashed out of it. The creatures sped back
and forth like flashes of lightning. (1:10-14)

As I looked at the living creatures, I saw a wheel on the ground beside
each creature with its four faces. This was the appearance and structure of the
wheels: They sparkled like chrysolite, and all four looked alike. Each appeared
to be made like a wheel intersecting a wheel. As they moved, they would go in
any one of the four directions the creatures faced; the wheels did not turn
about as the creatures went. their rims were high and awesome, and all four rims
were full of eyes all around. (1:15-18)

When the living creatures moved, the wheels beside them moved; and when the
living creatures rose from the ground, the wheels also rose. Wherever the spirit
would go, they would go, and the wheels would rise along with them, because the
spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels… When the creatures moved, I
heard the sound of their wings, like the roar of the Almighty, like the tumult
of an army. (1:19-20, 24,) (New International Version)

The Knowing “reveals” Ezekiel’s Wheels but in their version they are brought to earth inside the aliens’ “light ships” which look like crystalline shaped beams of light surrounding the wheels of Ezekiel. As the aliens levitate themselves, the children, and of course 2 white rabbits, I’m guessing one male and one female, into their ark, I mean, light ship, they reveal their true bodies. They are made of up light with wispy and subtle wings unfurling behind them as they trail upwards into the ship, while poor Nicholas Cage’s character is “left behind” to cry it out all night, yet “knowing” in his heart that the “right thing” was done.

The ships’ having both a crystalline appearance and also the appearance of being made out of light are straight out of New Age UFO lore. Millions of New Agers believe that light ships full of our “alien brothers” are going to show up and bring in a New Age of higher consciousness. They tend to have an obsession with crystals and believe many of them to hold supernatural properties such as healing.

Recently, a woman out of Australia who goes by the name Blossom Goodchild predicted via telepathic conversation with the aliens, (whom she said were currently cloaked in orbit , yeah, right), that the light ships would be making an appearance on a certain date in the Fall of 2008. Millions of people the world over held their breath when the day came; I sat on the “sidelines” and waited for the liars to do what they do best: Lie. Goodchild was publicly humiliated when the lightships didn’t show up, and had to issue an apology. The upside for the “aliens” however is that this attention it garnered them also garnered them a whole new slew of space-brother believers. That was probably their goal, and they used Goodchild. She’s on youtube and many new websites went up in her honor.

One side note about the white rabbits: I’ve noticed white rabbits in a lot of well placed spots in television and film in recent years. Here’s an interesting tidbit about them. Evidence suggests that Lewis Carroll’s Adventures in Wonderland is actually an illuminati primer/ mind control tool for certain “chosen” children. Remember that White Rabbit? That’s another google assignment for you, but I’ll say this: It certainly leaves one with the impression that they should see “how deep the rabbit hole goes”.

So now the earth is about to get burnt to a crisp. John goes to his parent’s home to be with his family as they wait it out. His pastor Father tells Joh that “this is not the end”, and John says, “I know”. See, John bought the alien gospel. Dad, however, is a Christian. Guess Dad was wrong about what the Bible has to say about the End (which is actually a beginning). The earth gets wiped out, but we feel okay for them. It’s all very universalistic/nihilistic…as a viewer take your pick from those, as long as you don’t think that John rejected Jesus Christ as the way, the truth, and the life, and that no man can come to the Father but through Him, and that that is actually true. Instead we’re supposed to feel that John lives on in the memories of his son.

The viewer is led to accept that John figured out how the world ends through channeled clues and human wit, and that Christian Eschatology is exposed as naïve and baseless. Very gently led, of course.So where do young Caleb and Abby end up? On a new planet. See, scientifically speaking, there could be 10,000 habitable planets within the Milky Way. So they dropped them off on one of those. The last we see of the children is them running through an Edenic field of lush grass as it blows in the wind toward a giant tree…. Could that be a giant TREE OF LIFE? Hey! Wait a second!
Like the guy sitting next to me in the theatre said as the credits rolled, “That really makes you kind of wonder doesn’t it?”

So it turns out that the entire movie is a subtle apologetic in favor of the “alien gospel”. Simply put, the alien gospel is the concept that the so-called aliens genetically manipulated us thousands of years ago. That they were, in fact, our progenitors. That they started the world’s religions and that they were mistaken as gods. Who believes this? Well, Richard Dawkins, an Oxford professor, published author of The God Delusion, and outspoken evolutionary atheist, says this is within the realm of possibility for him, but of course a Judeo- Christian God, never.

You can watch him say this in the documentary called “Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed” which was released with Ben Stein as its host in 2008.So, where does this lead us? Why is this even important? We are living in exponential times, prophetically speaking, and the Bible has a 100% accurate track record when it comes to prophetic fulfillment. The secular world and media give a lot of face-time to other (false) prophets such as Nostradamus and Edgar Cayce, but they shy away from, distort, and many times mock the prophecies of the Bible, its track record, and undermine its credibility. Why does this happen? I am convinced that the reason this is so is because if God is real then people must acknowledge that they have an ultimate authority to answer to. They are therefore setting themselves up to be greatly deceived and deluded in a very willful sense. This kind of thing is very concerning to those of us who see through this type of conditioning and recognize that prophetic signs point to a nearing culmination.

Now you know what The Knowing is really about. Don’t be like the guy sitting next to me at the theatre and have your paradigm subtly shifted. Find out the truth from the true source and from the valuable research of those who have searched out these strange matters through the lens of truth, the revealed word of God to us, The Bible.

Hey everybody! (:

I'm sure some of you have gone for Project Revival!
It was AWESOME right? (:

Well, i'm just here to share some thoughts.
Really, when we think of the word 'revival', what do we think of?

Like, when you're in MapleStory and you die, then you click the 'ok' box in the pop-up that appears?

These days, we're starting to tolerate things more, we're starting to be 'okay' with things a little more. People are spoiling the Bible, like those who went for Project Revival, there's an Alien Bible.
Simple things like praying for those suffering, or praying for people we don't even know seems like a chore.
We're falling from what God has planned us to be. And some of us find that sometimes, we aren't happy most of the time.
It's because we're not living what we were meant to be.

If an eagle was meant to fly but it was kept in a cage for it's entire life, how will it ever be happy?

When i think of the word 'revival', i think of a revival in the school, in my family, in my life.
A revival in the school, of seeing others being loved too. Jesus loves me so much, so, so much, He keeps me safe and makes sure i don't get hurt, and when i do, He picks me up and tells me that it's all okay.
And y'know, i want others to be able to experience this kind of love too, this kind of unconditional, everlasting love. This love that never fails.

To see somebody else being truly happy.

A revival in my family, of how my parents would come to know Jesus, of how i would be a good testimony in my family, of how Jesus is going to impact their lives through me.
A revival in myself, of how i'm going to pick up my cross daily, of how i'm going to be more and more Christ-like, of how i'm going to learn how to trust Him more, of how i'm going to be able to forgive easier, how i'm going to bless others, how i'm going to be used by God.

What about you?
Are you ready for a revival?

We are the light of the world.

Don't listen to what the devil says.

We're just one person. We cannot do anything. We aren't going to impact anybody, we aren't going to change anything. It's useless, hopeless, helpless.

LIES.

Just a small, tiny spark can light up a whole room of darkness. A small tiny light can be seen through the whole room of darkness.
A small soft noise can break the silence. A tiny pin-drop can be heard through the silence.

We can make the difference, we just need SMALL faith and a BIG GOD.

So people, are you guys ready for a revival? Are you going to pray harder, draw closer to God, and spend more time with Him?

Because for me, it's going to be hard. Very hard, but i'm willing to try.

Hey Impacters, and all the other people out there!

I went for project revival today, and it was awesome. I'm sure many of you went as well. So anyway, I'm just really encouraged to see students from all the different levels, coming together for one purpose.

They showed us a video, and it really touched me. The video mentioned that sin and fear keeps telling us to give up, to quit... But we mustn't! When the devil puts fear and obstacles in our lives, it is to stop us from doing God's work. And why does he want to stop us? Because he knows that God is going to do something awsome, and he is afraid. So I just want to encourage you guys, at times life may seem tough, but let us be strong and fix our eyes on Jesus instead of our problems. Leave them all to God, and let go, you will see how great God is.

Another thing the video mentioned, was that often we don't bother trying to make a difference because we feel that one person can't change anything. But that's not true. One man in prayer is greater than a nation that is not in prayer!

And what makes you think that you can't make history?

What makes you think you're not going to see a revival in our school?

What makes you think that you're too small?

I'm telling you, that you can make history, you can see revival in this school, and you are not to small. Because it's not us that are doing the work, it's Him.

Let's carry on being on fire for God. YEAH! :D

Okay, I guess by the time anyone sees this, we would all have watched the publicity video for Project Revival.

I don't know what you were thinking about when you watch that video, but for me, I got really, really excited. It's like, OMGSOCOOLIWANTTHATTOHAPPENINPHSTOO. It wasn't like, just another video that the church people have made just to attract attention for people to come for Project Revival. It was a belief, it was with faith, that this video was made, that God WILL move in PHS and revival WILL take place. It was faith, so much of it.

And when I was looking at the video, I couldn't help but marvel at how brave those people were, just worshipping God and praying tgth in their schools. I thought it was so amazing. You can see in their expression how they are so engaged with God. Honestly, I don't know if it's just an act or anything, but I want that. I want people in PHS to start raising up and praying for their school. I want people in PHS to be bold about their faith. I want to raise up and start srsly praying for my school, I want to be so bold about my faith. The video really inspired me and the impact is still there.

People, start raising up and praying for your school! It doesn't have to solely apply to PHS students, but whoever sees this. The time has come, we need to take our place in the war against spiritual forces wanting to blind the people of this generation. Put on God's armour, and war!

Prayer

HELLO PEOPLE.

IT'S ME AGAIN. *Evil music*
MUAHAHAHAHAHA.

Okay, i shall talk about prayer today.
What do you guys think about prayer?

Solemn, head bowed, closed eyes speaking to air time?
Or 'Amen Amen' ritual?
Maybe end of the day prayer?
Or maybe just some rule that 'respect' must be shown and you have to look serious?

Y'know if you think that way, then i must say, Jesus' sacrifice has been almost useless for you.
He didn't die just for fun, He didn't die so you have smth to talk about.
He died so that you can speak to God, like 24/7.
As a friend, or as like, a child, you can approch God boldly and just talk to Him.

Now that is prayer.

Y'know, like friends, or maybe even parents for some of you, you can just sms or call, or maybe even over lunch/dinner, you guys can talk about your problems? Or just joke and talk rubbish with one another?

You can just find a friend or your parents for counsel, or maybe even for just a hug after a hard day at school.

They can't be there for you 24/7, but God can.
God is there with you, always, never leaving you.
You can just talk to Him and He won't reject you.

And prayer isn't like, just you talking and talking and talking.
I learnt from shermaine, that y'know, the woman who washed Jesus' feet with her hair, that's her prayer.
Prayer can be you, just sitting at His feet, enjoying His presence.
Prayer can be you worshipping Him and singing your heart out.
Prayer can be just simply taking a walk to school together with God.

Start your day with prayer, you'll see what God has done for you, and what God is going to do for you.
He'll do way beyond your expectations, and even more.

Sometimes, we treat prayer like a letter to santa.
Sure, God wants to give us things, but y'know, He has already given us the most expensive, most valuable price.

Eternal Life.

Now isn't that enough? What we should be asking for is for Him to use us as He wills.
What, or Who we should be living for should be Jesus. (:

In Him there is life abundant.

So yes, prayer can be something as simple as walking home and lamenting to God.

Y'know, i was walking home one day, and i was asking myself and God.
If one day, the entire world doesn't know Jesus.

What if i was the only christian on earth, what if i was the only one who knew the existence of God, of Jesus Christ, dying and living. What if, i was the only one who knows that there is a love that never fails?

Would i continue what i'm doing? Would i continue searching for God's heart?
Or would i call myself crazy and abandon God? Is my faith based on people?
Am i searching for God's heart because people are encouraging me to, or because i really want more of His goodness?

That is a tough question, though i know the answer, one thing is for sure.
That nothing can seperate us from the love of Christ.

God our Refuge

Hey people. It's been so long since i've posted. (:

Just want to encourage you guys.
I know that the common tests are taking place this week and it's been really busy for every one of us.
But please remember to do your devotions and talk to God.
It's not something that we HAVE to do, we don't HAVE to do anything but we NEED it.
There's a difference.

Y'know, many times, we think that we do devotions for the sake of doing it. Like 'oh, i'm a christian so i must do devotions and talk to seemingly myself'.
Don't think that way, don't you know that we NEED the quiet time alone with God?

We need that fellowship with the Holy Spirit to actually grow in our walk with God. I mean seriously, if you made this new friend, and you don't bother talking to him/her, do you seriously think that the friendship will grow? Even if he/she makes every attempt to talk to you but you brush it off?

Ya, same theory applies, God's a person. DUH, HELLOOOOOOOOOOOO.

TALK TO HIM. He won't reject you, He won't think you're stupid.
And you know, you can go to Him with the most childish complaints ever, like 'OMG, MY GRANDMA IS SO ANNOYING GOD, ASK HER TO GO AWAY.', He won't reject you.
But obviously He'll want to fill you up with His never ending love, His unfailing love so that you can love your 'grandma' again.

But yeah, even Jesus needed His quiet time. He retreated to somewhere quiet to do His devotions, because it's during that time where God can pour out His anointing upon you.
It's during that time where your walk really grows man. (:

So really, open yourselves up to God during idk, some time, like maybe even 5minutes? Like what Limin said.
God doesn't need your entire time, like 24/7 but He wants- listen, He doesn't need, but He wants the time with you.
Because He knows you NEED it, and because He enjoys it. (:

And for those of you feeling really discouraged out there, here is a verse for you.

Psalm46:1-3,9

"God is our refuge and strength,
and ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.

He makes wars cease

Base your faith on the truth, not on your feelings.

The truth that He will always be there for you, the truth that you ARE a child of God, the truth that you HAVE authority to trample snakes and scorpions, the truth that He is in you, around you and with you, the truth that He's protecting you, the truth that He is faithful, the truth that He is moulding you, the truth that He knows what you are going through, the truth that He knows what He is doing, the truth that He is GOD.

Hey people! Yupp, like you can see, I'm just posting up the event my church's gonna have this Friday, and whoever interested can come! :) Any queries whatsoever, just drop a tag! :D

Anyway, just something I want to share. I'm actually part of this committee that has planned this event, and since our CT is like, around this time too, I was obviously in a sticky situation and I was really stressed out about being committed to this event and having to study. I totally broke down when my leader came to talk to me. She told me that yes, as much as we should give our all in serving God, being a student is our first 'job' and she'd rather I stayed at home to study, because even through my studies, I can glorify God. Same as you, you can glorify God through YOUR results. (Okay, I know that I'm pressuring you) Study hard, as much as you don't want to, not because of anyone else, but because of GOD.

Saying so, when our results come back, if you did not do very well, it doesn't mean you have failed to glorify God. When you give your best, that is alr glorifying God. He will honour you, as long as you study hard, according to His will :)

So press on everyone. Just like, 10? 9? days left! ALL FOR GOD! :D

Hey guys!
At this time, where all of us should be cramming our brains with schoolwork, as the common tests are coming,
we should all take time out of our hectic schedules to talk to GOD and read his word.
Like what Amadea said, the best time to pray, is when you don't feel like it.
So people, we should not let the examinations affect our relationship with God.
God doesn't need you to be talking to him for a full 24 hours of your day.
All he wants, is just a little of your time.
Maybe even 5 mins.
He has laid down all of His time.
His whole life, His whole lifetime
Just for us, while we were still sinners.
How much more should we offer our time to him?
How much more?

So let's all read our bibles, pray everyday!
And asking God for good results is the best way to get your A1s:)

Well, firstly, for Christians out there, it is a time for moulding, God wants you to grow, to change. What God wants is not what you can do. He only wants your heart. Secondly, the devil attacks us cause he is not happy. he does not want to see us grow in God, he wants to break us. But no matter what, stand firm on God. Hey guys, it's me again.

Okay, just wanna share some things.

Y'know in school, everything's like so normal, like it's just school.
But y'know God placed us there for a reason.
I know it might feel weird, that something's gonna happen in such a planned-out established day, but yeah, God can make the extraordinary happen in the ordinary! (:

2 Kings 3:18
"This is an easy thing in the eyes of the Lord, ..."

Indeed, this thing is an easy thing, nothing will be difficult for God. Amen. (:
I know it feels really different in school and in church, y'know, with the influences of the world surrounding us.
But God is always with us, He will never leave us, He's everywhere! (:

Psalm 139: 7
"Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can i flee from your presence?"

And it might seem really daunting, like 'OMW, it's a NORMAL school day and i'm supposed to do something for GOD?!'

Again, in Psalm 139:16
"your eyes saw my unformed body.
All days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be."

WE HAVE A PURPOSE!
God didn't place us in PHS for fun, He didn't place us in our classes for fun!
He has already written a great and mighty plan out for each and everyone of us, it's whether we wanna embrace that truth or not.
Just tell God, y'know, that you wanna serve Him in anyway possible, in school, in math, even in non-curriculum activities, God is everwhere. (:

So guys, i just wanna encourage you to y'know, pick up your cross daily, die to our old selves, and let God have control over us, our lives and our talents.
Let us serve Him in everyway possible.

We don't have to go reaching out to people everyday, we don't have to be holy moly (but it helps), we don't have to pray and walk to class, we don't have to shout 'I LOVE JESUS' everywhere.
All we can do is listen to God and His quiet prompting and pray that we have the faith to do His work.

A lesson i learnt: The impact isn't from us, it's from GOD. (:

Hey people. Just wanna encourage you guys. (:

We could see God moving so amazingly today, and everything that we were able to do, we owe it all to Him.
It was Him who opened doors for us, it was Him who blessed us with the secondary ones, it was Him who has placed them in our school for a reason.
And i strongly believe that all the secondary ones, they have such an amazing future ahead in Christ, they're going to be miracle-makers, mountain movers, but of course, with the strength of Christ.
God You have such an awesome plan laid out for them.

Each and everyone of them that You have made, is perfect.
You created each and everyone of them, and everyone of them, to You, is perfect.
They are amazing.
You look at them, and say 'y'know, he is the most beautiful thing i have ever seen, she is the most beautiful thing i have ever seen.'.
And you aren't a God of empty praises and promises.
God you mean every single thing that You say and Your promises never fails.

God, we are your people and we sing to you heartfelt praise, we sing to you honest and passionate worship, we offer ourselves to you as a sacrifice.
Would you just take us as we are, our skills, our talents, our abilities, we leave it at the altar, because we know that You have blessed us with them for a reason.
We know that it is to fufil our purpose in life that You have planned for us.

Any of you guys feeling low or anything right, think about what Jesus has done for you.
If He could die for you, why can't we be Jesus freaks for Him amen? (:

It's about what people think about God.

Grab hold of time!

It's 11.46pm, and it's 14mins to 20th January 2009.

People, it's almost nearing the end of January already. Think back- what have you done for/with God the past few weeks that makes you feel proud? For me, I've been opening my heart more to let God speak to me. What about you?

The days, hours, minutes, seconds will fly past you, and before you know it, the end of year is already here. Don't let time run past you. It's a race against time, but just press in, because even by just doing something for God everyday, many lives will be impacted for Him! Don't get caught up by school and stuff (I know how easy it is) but really, make the conscious effort to realign yourself back to God, daily.

I wasted my Sec One year away (well, almost the whole year). Sec Two was better, but not much. When I think back these two years, I can think of God's grace and blessing upon me. I can think of things I have done/given up for God, but whatever it is, I have wasted almost two years away. Don't let that happen to you guys! God has given us enough time, start planning to use your time wisely! And most importantly, ask God to open doors for you so that you can be an impact to the people around you. That's our name- IMPACT. Not compact, or some other inward-looking name, but IMPACT. This generation needs us to reach out to them, to care and connect them to Jesus. Don't let our lack of wisdom in our time management cause many a life to end up unsaved.

Remember what Mrs C. Tan likes to say? "Number our days so that we may gain a heart of wisdom." Start realising that you are living on borrowed time! Our time on earth is not eternal; our unsaved friends' time on earth is not eternal. Make use of your time wisely! It's all for Jesus or nothing, Amen?

Yeah, yeah we're gonna believe God to do great things!
The first month of year 2009 is passing by, what do you expect to see from God for the next 11months?
Remember to keep your friends in prayer, and keep this prayer group itself in prayer! (:

God is going to move amen?

Y'know i've been thinking about some things and i realised that God will never fail us.
Sometimes, when we get stumbled, then we ask God, y'know, why this why that?
But then, that's a time where you've got to fight it, until somebody can counsel you, or until you find help.
We feel that, y'know, what if, what if, it was all a lie, what if, at the end of everything, there was no God?

I feel that way sometimes, i feel that, y'know, 'is this really how i want to live my life, how i want the rest of my life to be?'

And then i think.
If i don't live for Christ, what would i be?

Some stuck up jerk, someone who backstabs, spreads gossip, scold vulgarities person?
I don't know, maybe be a bookworm that deludes myself into thinking i can use a wooden stick to shoot paralysing rays out of its end?
Or maybe i'll spend my entire day studying, pushing myself with my own strength to get impressive results.
I don't know, probably something that doesn't last long.

And then it's then i realise, y'know, that the Kingdom of God is the one that's everlasting.
The Kingdom of God is one that's worth living for.
Being a jerk, what's the point? At the end of the day, at the end of your life, people wouldn't remember your deeds, but what kind of a person you are.

Do i wanna be the: Jerk-in-the-next-door-class?
Or the wizard-wannabe?
Maybe the top-student-in-a-few-decades-ago?

No, i realise that if there's anything worth to be remembered for, it's: The-Freak-That-Talks-About-Jesus.

In Christ, i have a purpose in life. I'm not living a life, passing my days aimlessly, with y'know, no goal, or goals that disappear once i get it.
Ambitions that grow and grow, that gets replaced by one after another day after day.

In Christ, i have a clear view, that in whatever i do, i do it for the glory of God.
I know that He has my life planned out, i know that He has something amazing instored for me, not just me but for everyone.
I know that if i'd just let Him have control of my life, i'll be happier than any other person alive.

And it's not just living for Him, He's also living in me.
People, men, will fail. But God never fails.
He's always with us, whether we feel Him or not.

Sure, we're people, we're all imperfect and we make mistakes sometimes.
But everytime we screw up, God's reply will always be:

I'll take you back.

He'll always take us back, He'll never abandon us.

At times, we feel that school is so ordinary, our friends are so normal, the day is so routine-ish. And somehow, it's hard to believe that God can use you, wherever you are. But, we have to believe and have faith. Having faith is believing in what we cannot see. We always sing the song "One Way", and it says "You are the Way, the Truth and the Life. We live by faith and not by sight for You. We're living all for You."

It's easy to sing, but not easy to do. But I believe that God is always faithful and He will always be there with us. So let's be fearless people for God. God is looking for people to appear foolish for Him. God is raising a generation that will be able to face a giant with just a sling and a stone.

HEY PEOPLE! Just wanna say a word of encouragement: GOD WILL ALWAYS BE THERE FOR YOU, NO MATTER WHAT. Sometimes it's really hard to believe so, especially since we can't see God physically, but the physical things of this world will fade away one day, and we will see God FACE TO FACE! I think that moment will be so amazing, all our doubts and disbelief before will just dissipate and it'll be so worth it.

Hold on to your calling, people! Don't ever let it go! Because God has planned something great for every single one of us and He wants to use us to do extraordinary things for Him! :D The devil knows that too, that's why he would place obstacles in our way to throw us off track, but remember, GOD is our mighty overcomer (if there is ever such a word) and as long as we keep our focus on Him, we will soar above all our troubles and obstacles! Press in, and hold on firmly to God's promises! God's promises will never fail :)

YOUKNOWWHAT.

Jesus is our Shepherd and we are His Sheep.
If one of us is lost, He will leave all His sheep just to search for us.
It's not that He doesn't love His other safe sheeps, but He knows who needs Him to be brought back to the pen.
He sees everything, and He sees our heart.
If we have the right heart, if we know that we want Jesus to change something in our lives, in our situations, He sees it.
And He'll help us.

Sometimes we get lost. We lose focus on what's important.
Or sometimes, we're just so buried in our own problems that we fail to fix our eyes upon God.
Anger can be a barrier between our connection with God, grief and sadness can be barriers too. Guilt can be a barrier, so can pride.

That's why we have to check ourselves constantly, is our walk with God on the right track?
Many things that we experience, as we grow in our walk with God, requires us to take a leap of faith. A kind of faith that is on solid rock, that we can be sure that He is enough to catch us.

God won't forget us. If we stray, we're lost sheep. He's gonna go all out to get you back, He's gonna lead you back to the pen, where you're safe from wolves, boars.

Many times, there are things obstructing us from going to God. Maybe people, maybe situations, maybe accidents or maybe even temptations. It's like this gap between God and us.
We can't jump across that gap, and there's no rope.

But there's the Cross.
The Cross is large enough to cover the distance between the gap.
We can walk with confidence across the Cross, sure in it's sturdyness.

If we would just accept the fact of the Cross, that Jesus died for us, nailed to that Cross, that love beyond measure has been given to us, then the Cross would cover that gap.

But walking across it is another matter.
We might think it's all a joke, it's something fake, maybe we'd even feel that we don't deserve it.

But all of us don't deserve it at all. We have disappointed and broken God's heart on more than one occasion and He still loves us.
He knows everything, He knows that you're going to break His heart in the future but He died for you anyway.

So why hurt Him even more by going away from Him?
Run back to Him, so that He can work it through with You.
To help you overcome your problems with His love, with His power.

He's GOD, what can He not do?

What are you waiting for?

Run back and never look back.

Hey guys! Amadea again! I just want to encourage you guys!

J ohn 15:19 says: "If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you."

In John 15:18, Jesus said, "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first." Jesus was even hated by the religious people of those times. In fact, it was the self-righteous people that ultimately wanted to kill Him.

"Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven" (Matthew 10:32-33).

Persecution because of our belief in God is a consequence of your choice to be on the part of the light. Persecution is a privilege. We impact others when we shine God's light into the world.

You see, God is not only doing a work in PHS, He is doing a work in OUR GENRATION across OUR NATION. He is working in other schools as well. It always gets me so excited when I think of christians all over the nation rising up in their schools and STANDING for God. It's really awesome. And guys, remember that prayer works wonders, miracles will happen YEAH! There is nothing impossible with God, He holds our world in His hands.

At times we feel like giving up, or we feel so lost or dead in school, because we go through the same routine everyday. But like what I shared on Tuesday, don't see school as just a school. ITS A BATTLE FIELD. We are fighting against the devil here, people!

LOL, i didn't tell amadea i was going to post. d:

Okay, we had prayer group today. Like, two hours ago. Praise God. :D

There were some new faces today, we hope to see you guys again!

COME HOR, IF NOT I CRY.

Lol, okay more seriously.

During prayer group, amadea and chuyi shared some things that i felt was really relevant to what i'm going through at the moment, and that school is not just school, it's a battlefield.

It's a battle that all of us Christians have to fight.

The enemy's going to try every means and ways to stop us from fulfilling God's plan for the day, he's going to discourage you, he's going to tell you lies, he's going to make you feel that you're not good enough, make you feel that you're not important, he's going to make teachers give you detention so you have to miss prayer group, everything.

Yes, and i really believe that all of us are going to fight the good fight for God, we're not going to let the enemy win are we? (:

If we don't fight the enemy and his lies, we're going to be discouraged. We're going to feel that we're disappointments to God, we're going to feel that God doesn't want us anymore, we're going to start condemning ourselves, we're going to start to hate ourselves, and maybe, even start to hate God.

Take it from me, been there, done that.

I made some mistakes, said some wrong things. I kept condemning myself, i felt that i was not good enough, i felt that, y'know, i don't deserve such an honor to serve God.

But the thing is, even though we, y'know, missed some chances, maybe made some mistakes, said some wrong things, we have got to trust in God, that He is able to make everything right.

He is the one who can solve everything, He is the one that is going to set everything straight again.

All we can do is pray.

I mean seriously, our God is a good and mighty God, amen? (:

Sometimes, (i learnt this from amadea) i just don't know what to pray for anymore, like everything's all over me, and i can only stand there and watch my world fall apart, one of those moments y'know?

But what i can do is to pray, and say: 'God, i don't know what to pray for anymore. I can't do anything, i'm giving this to You, this is Your problem now.'

GOD ROCKS. :D

Okay, so my point is, if you feel very discouraged or anything today or something, DON'T GIVE UP.

It's a battle all of us are fighting, we're not going to let the enemy win are we?

We're gonna fight a good fight, with God, for God and by God, yeah!

I know that there is a reason why You have placed me in this class. And I realised that it is not just because of the social reasons. I guess that You have actually known the subjects I'd be taking, and I guess You wanted me to change things around for You, even in my studies. They say You work in ways we can never imagine, and I guess it's quite true.

Oh dear God, I'm so frustrated, I'm just about to give up, really. But there is a reason why everything happens, even my conversation with Ms Goh. I also know that I'm just such a stubborn and rigid person, so inflexible. God, please help me, I think I'm just about to let go soon. And it's only the 2nd week of school.

God, I love You. Please help me with all the ideas and stuff. Teach me how to rely on You, teach me not to worry about what tmrw will bring, because tmrw will worry for itself. If You have to strip me of everything that I have, all my achievements, my positions, my all, just to teach me this, if You have to shake me upside down, go ahead. All I request is that You will always be there for me, giving me the strength and the determination to go through it all. I don't want this year to be another same-o same-o year. I want to make an impact for You. I want to do new things for You, not just the same old things.

Hi! My name is Amadea, I'm from 3 Devotion. Firstly, on behalf of the prayer group, I would like to introduce us. We are a prayer group in PHS, our name is Impact.

Basically, we are a bunch of christians that come together every week to pray that God will cause a revival in our school. We decided to call ourselves Impact because our purpose and goal is to impact our school, and to touch as many lives as possible for Christ.

We believe that when we took our PSLE and were allocated to this school, it wasn't just random. God placed us here for a reason. I don't want to leave the school one day, and look back and wish that I could have saved my friends, and touch more souls for Christ. I know that it isn't normal for a random pupil to suddenly start standing up for her faith this way, but I know that I'm doing it for God, and it's worth it.
